The casing of television and low-voltage electrical products has the following two types of protection classification: the first type of protection is to prevent solid foreign objects from entering the interior and prevent human contact with live or moving parts inside; the second type of protection is to prevent water from entering the interior to a harmful level. The marking method indicates the degree of protection provided by the product casing, which is composed of the glyph "IP" and two numbers. The first digit represents the level of the first type of protection mentioned above. The second digit represents the level of the second type of protection. If only one type of protection level needs to be separately marked, the position of the omitted number should be supplemented with "x". For motor products, the following additional letters R - ducted ventilated motors can also be used: W - climate protected motors; S - The motor undergoing the second type of protection test in a stationary state; M - The motor that undergoes the second type of protection test under operating conditions. The letters R and W should be marked between IP and two numbers. The letters S and M should be marked after two numbers. If the letters S and M are not marked, it indicates that the motor is tested in both stationary and moving states.
