Feed is a general term for the food of all animals raised by humans. Generally speaking, feed mainly refers to the food of animals raised in agriculture or animal husbandry. Feed includes more than ten varieties of feed materials, including soybeans, soybean meal, corn, fish meal, amino acids, miscellaneous meal, whey powder, oil, meat and bone meal, grains, and feed additives. China's feed industry is an emerging industry, and its growth and development process is basically synchronized with the reform and opening up process. In 2016, the total production of commercial feed in China reached 209.18 million tons, with a total output value of 801.4 billion yuan. According to the classification of meeting animal nutritional needs, feed products can be divided into: (1) full price formula feed. Contains feed that meets the needs of animals for protein, energy, major minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, and various nutritional and non nutritional additives. Animals can be fed directly. (2) Concentrated feed. Usually, energy feed such as corn, wheat, bran, etc. account for more than 50% of the formula in the feed formula, and these raw materials are mostly produced or purchased by the aquaculture industry. To reduce transportation costs, feed producers design feed products that do not contain energy raw materials. After the aquaculture industry purchases such products and mixes them with self-produced or self-produced energy raw materials, they can produce relatively low-cost full price formula feed. (3) Pre mixed feed. To further meet the needs of small-scale breeders for refined feeding and cost reduction, feed producers have designed pre mixed feed products, which mainly include minerals, vitamins, various nutritional and non nutritional additives. The characteristics of this type of product are low addition ratio (defined by the Ministry of Agriculture Order No. 3 in 2012 as no more than 10%), high nutrient concentration, difficult mixing, high product value, high technical content, and high storage requirements. The Ministry of Agriculture's Announcement No. 1849 proposes different production license requirements for the first two types of products and the third type of products. The regulations also propose different requirements for the production conditions of these two types of production enterprises, such as factories, process equipment, and laboratories
